Dr. Richard Lee is the Founding Pastor of First Redeemer Church located in metropolitan Atlanta. First Redeemer is now recognized as one of the fastest growing churches in the Southeastern United States.
Pastor Lee graduated magna cum laude from Mercer University and Luther Rice Seminary, earning the Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees in Theology and Pastoral Ministry. He also holds the Doctor of Literature degree from Toccoa Falls College and the Doctor of Laws degree from Liberty University. He has continued his education in Postdoctoral Studies in Theology at the University of Oxford, Oxford, England.
Dr. Lee is a frequent speaker in conferences and conventions, nationally and internationally. There's Hope America, the television broadcast for which Dr. Lee serves as speaker, now reaches into every state in the United States and numerous foreign nations. There's Hope has received the prestigious Ministry of the Year award from the National Religious Broadcasters. He also serves as President of There's Hope for the Hungry which now reaches in several Southeastern States feeding the poor and needy.
He has served as President of the Pastor's Conference of the Southern Baptist Convention, is a member of the Oxford Roundtable, Oxford, England, a Trustee of Liberty University, and Liberty School of Law and a Board member of the National Religious Broadcasters. Dr. Lee has represented the Christian cause on numerous national television programs, as well being featured in various newspapers and magazines. A few of those are: CBS News, NBC News, BBC, CNN News, USA Today Newspaper, The 700 Club, The Atlanta Journal and Constitution, The London Times and The Los Angeles Times.
His writings have appeared in twelve popular books published by major Christian publishing houses and well as being a contributor to the Believer's Study Bible and the General Editor of The American Patriot's Bible for Thomas Nelson Publishers.
Dr. Lee and his wife, Judy, reside in the Atlanta Georgia area. A proud father, he was named "Father of the Year" by the Southeastern Father's Day Council and recently received the Ronald Reagan Leadership Award for 2007.
